OUR PEOPLE

A team dedicated to the service of excellence.

In 2010, we realized how much we all wanted to bring out the best from this land. It was the strongest earthquake we had ever experienced, and as wine from our neighbors’ giant tanks flowed through the streets, we rushed to save our precious liquids. Many wineries lost more than half of their production; CASAFÈVRE lost less than 15 percent.

Different teams come together as a single, unified group striving for excellence. Most are in the fields, caring for and maintaining the vines in optimal condition. As many winemakers say, wines are made in the vineyard. There, Jorge is the quietest, managing the tractors and all the machinery.

During harvest, the walnut orchard team joins us—one of the family’s other agricultural ventures. Esperanza is there, sharing her jokes and warmth as she has for many years. In charge is Nicolás, the agronomist, often the most paternal, alongside his assistant Rosita, who seems capable of anything.

In the winery are the guardians of the quality achieved in the vineyard. Cristián, as winemaker, directs this orchestra and relies heavily on César, the cellar manager. María Eugenia handles all inventories, from labels to winemaking supplies. Lorena analyzes everything in her laboratory. Raúl manages the filters and pipes, while Carlos oversees labeling and bottling. Claudio is always on the forklift, the most enthusiastic… “Slow down, Claudio, remember there are people here.” His son Vicente, the youngest, follows the instructions of his father—and everyone else

Behind those who create the magic in the fields and the winery, there is our team handling the commercial side from the Santiago office. Víctor, Don Víctor’s eldest son, oversees the finances. Gonzalo, our manager—does he ever miss anything? Maritza manages logistics, though in reality we all turn to her for help with anything. Marcela handles accounting and human resources, and Cyril takes care of sales, marketing, and plenty of smiles.

But behind each of us are our families, who believe in our project and share its passion, and all the people of Pirque who know our story and what we aim to do for the community, our people, and our land… that is a true terroir.
