ANTIS

.

An icon wine represents the very best of a premium winery’s history, vision, and terroir. It is the wine that sets the quality benchmark for the entire estate, conveying confidence, prestige, and consistency over time. Its creation requires a long and demanding process—years of development and, in some cases, even decades.

In its early days, ANTIS was a co-fermented blend of different Bordeaux grape varieties. The Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Carmenère vineyards were managed so they could be harvested on the same day, in true Bordeaux style. Naturally, it took several years to fine-tune every detail and to align phenolic ripeness, especially for Carmenère, the latest-ripening variety.

Over time, however, it became clear that this remarkable terroir sought to express itself to its fullest. More easterly and higher-altitude plantings continued to reveal layers of complexity that surprised us. This evolution undoubtedly required more time and the introduction of new varieties, such as the charming Petit Verdot. In the meantime, ANTIS remains a legend—a cult wine sought after by connoisseurs in the cellars of devoted enthusiasts.
